Literature Text

the taste of summer is
soft upon my lips
tart berries
bursting on tastebuds
fireworks for
the senses.

i slowly trace over
the carvings in the
trunk
names intertwined
an everlasting reminder —
multiple infinities
encapsulated
in the rings of a tree
the bark and
leaves.

a glimmer of laughter
and i'm there again —
with you.
“Some infinities are bigger than other infinities.”
